Assignment 3: Business Plan Draft – Financials

For this assignment, you will gather and assemble the financial information to be included in your formal business plan. Use the financial spreadsheets Excel workbook to complete this task.

Steps to Complete the Assignment:

1. **Gather Financial Information**:
- Input numbers and financial figures into the provided spreadsheets.
- Use the formulas in the workbook to calculate figures and totals.
- Ensure the numbers entered are "real," sourced from credible references (e.g., office furniture prices from a relevant website).
- Ensure estimates are realistic and justifiable.

2. **Familiarize Yourself**:
- Open the Business Plan Word document.
- Review the Financial Plan section and List of Tables to understand the financial information needed for your completed business plan (Assignment 4).

3. **Use the Financial Spreadsheets Excel Workbook**:
- Access the Control Panel worksheet for instructions.
- Review all spreadsheets in the workbook to understand its structure and the content required.
- Start inputting the required information.

4. **Research Prices and Costs**:
- Research current prices and costs of items and services listed on the spreadsheets.
- Keep track of your information sources.
- An example table tool for tracking is provided in the Operations Plan Section of the Business Plan Word document (page 9).

For Assignment 3, submit the following:

1. Your completed Financial Spreadsheets Excel workbook.
2. A separate Excel workbook or Word document including source information for prices/costs in your spreadsheets. Present this information in a table format, as shown in the example tables in the Business Plan Word document (e.g., page 9).
